Unique among area holiday presentations of
“The Nutcracker,” is the Red Chair Children’s Production Company’s youthful cast. Over 125 young performers, ages 5 to 22, are given the rare and highly desirable opportunity to perform principal and supporting roles in this timeless ballet alongside adults. Performers will bring to life “The Nutcracker,” the enchanting storybook tale of a young girl’s magical Christmas Eve that takes her, and the audience, on a delightful and exciting journey.

Before the show join Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy and other characters from the Nutcracker at the Red Chair Children's Production Company's exclusive holiday experience the Land of the Sweets on the Mezzanine level of the Alex Theatre. Guests will enjoy the sounds and tastes of the holiday season with an array of desserts, festive holiday beverages, live music --plus photo opportunities with Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and other characters from the show.

The Red Chair Children’s Production Company is proud to support the U.S. Marines Reserve Corp’s Toys for Tots program.
Ticket holders who bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more can enter a raffle for a Nutcracker-themed gift basket worth $150. Included in the gift basket will be Clara’s crown and a Nutcracker soldier word. U.S. Marines will be present from 7:00pm to 8:30 pm at the Alex Theatre to receive the new toys.
