Open audition for female dancers with:
Recommended 6+ years of ballet training and minimum 1 year of pointe training.
Recommended that these dancers are enrolled in 3 ballet classes per week throughout Nutcracker season.
If you are age 12 or older but are not interested in a role en pointe, please come to the age appropriate time slot at our Open Dance auditions on Sunday!
Females should be prepared to show intermediate/advanced pointe work.Females should be prepared to show intermediate/advanced pointe work, as these dancers would like to be considered for the following roles-
Waltz of the Flowers
Waltz of the Snowflakes
Dancers may also, but are not required, to present a classical variation of their choice, not to exceed 2 minutes. Dancers should bring their own music via Bluetooth in digital format to the audition.
There is an audition fee of $25 (pre-registration) or $35 on the day of the audition.
How to Prepare for Your Audition
Girl dancers should wear a leotard, tights and ballet slippers.
Advanced female dancers should bring pointe shoes.
Hair should be contained in a bun.
Boys should wear dance shorts/pants, white shirt, ballet slippers/jazz shoes with socks. Hair should be contained.
The variation presentation is optional for Advanced Dancers. If presenting a piece, please make it no longer than two minutes.
