Nutcracker Auditions

Auditions are open to ALL dancers, ages 7-18. Age is determined by age as of September 1, 2026.

PERFORMANCES WILL BE AT THE ALEX THEATER BETWEEN DECEMBER 8TH - DECEMBER 13TH.
NOTE: Registration spots are capped for dancers ages 7-11. Once all spots are filled up, dancers will go on a wait list. While we try to accomodate as many dancers as possible, we are limited to a maximum cast size at the theater.
REGISTRATION NOTE*
Pre-register starting August 1st by clicking the button below. There is an audition fee of $35 (pre-registration) or $45 on the day of the audition. Day-of-registrations will be limited to available space.
Registration Opens August 1st at 9:00AM PST!
Pointe Work Auditions
Open audition for female dancers with:

Recommended 6+ years of ballet training and minimum 1 year of pointe training.

Recommended that these dancers are enrolled in 3 ballet classes per week throughout Nutcracker season.
Boys' Auditions
Both Open & Advanced Boys' Audition.

Open auditions require no experience necessary for smaller roles.

Advanced Boys' Audition is recommended for ages 14+ with extensive dance training

Boys are also welcome to attend the age-appropriate Open Audition!
Open Dance Auditions
Open audition to all dancers, ages 7-18.
While there is no prerequisite training required, experience recommendations can be found Open Audition page.

For our 2026 Production of The Nutcracker, we are excited to offer four full participation scholarship to qualified dancers, eight partial scholarships and two Boys Dance Too! scholarship.
